    Ethnic African
    presumably Sudanese
    short sword / dagger, late 19th, early 20th century. Heavy double edged rough finished carbon steel / iron blade decorated with tribal patterns on both sides. The handle is made of wood and cracked. Good condition overall, all parts are tight. Leather scabbard is for British issued military machete, maker marked to 1940.
