    Description

    Model Model 1902 Officers' Sword measuring 40" overall with a blade length 34".  Blade shows etching design over half its length.  US marked on one side with E Pluribus Unum and eagle on the oppostie side. Ricasso marked, "RIDABOCK & CO. NEW YORK". Ridabock opened for business in 1847.   Blade shows over 80% original finish with some age patina scattered tiny pitting on blade and on top of blade/spine. Blade is fullered and has a brass handle with Horn grip.  The outer branch on the knuckle bow is a bit bent and touching the middle branch.  The Scabbard is engraved to
    "Lieutenant Charles Mehlin".
    Scabbard shows a dark patina with a couple of dings in center of scabbard (keeps blade in place, fyi)  Also has the Belt attachment hangar on one of the scabbard rings.
