Vintage Sword, German?

Not much is known about this one.
It appears to be of German origin.
The words “In Treue Fest” are etched into a 7 inch long pattern on both sides of the blade.
There is an emblem in that pattern that resembles a shield with a crown on top. There is another set of emblems under the hilt shield which can barely be seen. The blade is 30 ½ from tip to hilt.
The handle appears to have been gold flashed, with most of that worn off of the high spots.
